There are many ways to be involved in campus life at Morningside College. One of the creative and educational endeavors we offer is our music program. Being in one of Morningside’s bands is a rewarding way to make music and entertain audiences with your fellow classmates. If you play an instrument in high school, we encourage you to continue your musical interests at Morningside College. Our students find musical life here enjoyable, educational, and enriching to their overall Morningside experience. Furthermore, the Music Department welcomes all students, regardless of academic major, to participate in any of our ensembles.

Our bands come in two forms: academic and athletic. Academic ensembles are considered classes, and each musician must register for the course. One can take these courses for 0 or 1 credit hour. Athletic ensembles exist to support Morningside’s athletic program and are considered student activities. They are not classes, but membership is determined by audition.
