Morningside
The Morningside College experience cultivates a passion for life-long learning and a dedication to ethical leadership and civic responsibility.

Facilities

The Department of Music is housed in the Eugene C. Eppley Fine Arts Building and MacCollin Classroom Building where students enjoy modern studio, classroom, rehearsal, and performance facilities. The state-of-the-art electronic music and keyboard lab features electronic pianos and Macintosh computers with powerful music transcription, production, and recording capabilities.

Eppley Auditorium is a beautiful 1,500-seat concert hall crowned with a 48-rank Holtkamp organ. It is the setting for student recitals, faculty performances, ensemble concerts, and larger events such as the annual Christmas at Morningside and choral and instrumental festivals. The auditorium is also the home of the Siouxland Youth Symphony and the Sioux City Concert Course whose programs regularly bring in such renowned artists as The Canadian Brass, Itzhak Perlman, Doc Severinsen, The Dallas Brass, the Count Basie Orchestra, and The American Boys Choir.
